FAQ
Due to the nature of bespoke design and any special finishes, please allow 6 -8 weeks if possible. This time frame may vary due to the complexity of the design and how long it takes to have a final design signed off for approval.
If however you are pushed for time, please contact me and I will see what I can do.
I would recommend sending one invitation per household. I would also advise ordering an extra 10 to 15 invitations in case you make a mistake or have any last minute changes to your guest list. And don't forget it's always a nice idea to keep one for yourself!
For Save The Dates:
These can be sent as soon as you have set a date and booked your venue. It is recommend to have them out about 9 months prior to your wedding. This allows guests to book accommodation (especially if you're getting married in a tourist hot spot!), book time off work and arrange for childcare if needed.
If you are planning for an international wedding destination or would like to invite guests from overseas then I recommend sending your Save The Dates as soon as possible, perhaps 10 - 12 months before flights get booked up and prices increase.
For Invitations:
The etiquette is normally 6-8 weeks.
If you have decided not to send Save The Dates, remember to give international guests plenty of notice so they can book flights and accommodation in advance. Also, remember to factor in delivery time, especially if the invitations are being sent abroad.
Before the design has gone to print, I will happily make any amendments to the order.
Sadly once the design has been approved and sent to the printers it cannot be changed, it would have to be re-ordered and charged the printing cost again.
I will send you pdf proofs of your design throughout the design process. Please note it is your responsibility to make sure all details and spellings are correct before signing off your design.
I tend not to send printed samples of design work as the set up charge for a one off print is very expensive. However if you are happy to pay for this charge it can be done.
